Look at all the Places to Visit in San Diego

San Diego is a cool place to visit if you’re spending winter in some other part of the United States. There are a lot of interesting places to see in San Diego also. Most people planning to visit San Diego already know about Seaport Village and also go to the Port. They also make it a point to see a Chargers game. However, there are many more places to visit in San Diego.

1. The San Diego Zoo is definitely a place you should go to. It has various animals from all over the world which visitors can see, including some rare but well known pandas. The animals at the zoo are kept in some of the best enclosures among of any zoo, with a compromise made between the natural habitat of the animal and to make it accessible to the viewers also.

You could easily spend an entire day at the zoo and it makes for enjoyable entertainment and also an informative tour. The animals are always a treat to watch, so you could visit the zoo quite often, with your family or with friends. The features and events also keep on changing.

The San Diego Wildlife Park is a different zoo which is somewhat safari-like. Both the SD Zoo and the SD Wildlife Park are run by the Zoological Society of San Diego. However, they are very different from each other. Tourists must also go to the Balboa Park.

2. Harbour Island is a very nice area which is like a park, and the locals would recommend that the visitor have something to eat or drink at sunset at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse.

3. The Cabrillo National Monument is simply splendid. It has a beautiful view in all directions as far as one can see, and it’s located on the highest point of the bay. A good museum is also there and also some nice tidepools which allows a lot of seals and whale-watching.

4. The Star of India and Embarcadero are situated along the San Diego waterfront. You can eat at Anthony’s Fish Grotto, which is located on a dock on the harbour, and overlooks the bay.

5. Sea World is famous all over the world and it should definitely be on the ‘places to visit in San Diego’ list of every visitor. If you like sea mammals and marine life, you’ll love Sea World. The Penguin/Puffin habitats and The Shark Encounter are great. The tram ride over the bay, the shows at Sea World (which are comparatively less crowded), and the trip up the sky tower are very cool things to do at Sea World.

6. Mission Bay Park is a very interesting place to go for a walk, a picnic, or to just settle down on a nice grassy spot and do some reading quietly. You could also sit and watch a lot of shorebirds too.

San Diego has a lot of maritime museums, beaches, boating facilities, La Jolla cave visits, harbour trips, whale watching trips and other sea-related activities for tourists and locals to participate in. There is no one main object of interest to point to in San Diego, but on the whole, a person can have a great time in all the places to visit in Sa Diego.
