A Few Places To Visit In Paris That Others Enjoy!


There are several places to visit in Paris but here are some exciting attractions you may want to explore!

The Best Museums:

Musee d' Orsay - The Musee d' Orsay over looks the Louvre Museum along the Seine River. This museum was once a railway station, but was reopened as a museum in 1989. It boasts some of the works of Renoit, Monet, and Van Gogh.

The Louvre - One of the most famous museums in the world, and one of the greatest places to visit in Paris, holding 34,000 works of art, including perhaps the most famous painting of all time, The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci. Made insanely popular by recent movies and books, the Louvre features the biggest collection of amazing sculpture, paintings, and artifacts in the world!

Musee de Cluny - This museum was built over the ruins of a Gallo-Roman bath. This museum boasts several types of Medieval arts, such as tapestries and costumes.

Cite de Sciences - This is a great place to visit with the kids. The different floors in the building are devoted to different areas of science, including the planets, the human body and health.

The Most Popular Attractions and Places to Visit in Paris:

Sacre Coeur - This church, atop Monmartre hill, was built in 1876, and took 40 years to complete. Monmartre hill is one of the highest points in Paris, and there is a must see view from the front of this gorgeous church. The Sacre Coeur features some beautiful paintings and sculptures, and one of the world's largest bells. If you're looking for places to visit in Paris, this is definitely a must-see.

Notre Dame de Paris - Built where a Roman temple once stood, the Notre Dame de Paris remains one of the most famous cathedrals in the world. This cathedral features some amazingly beautiful stained glass windows, including the most famous Rose window, which is about 13 meters high!

Eiffel Tower - You just can't go to Paris without seeing the amazing Eiffel Tower. It was built in 1889 for the World Exhibition by Gustav Eiffel. The tower features two restaurants, two elevators, and is absolutely THE symbol of Paris. It is open every day of the year.

Some really great areas that are must see places to visit in Paris include:

Rue de Buci - This street is a moving piece of art. Filled with gorgeous color and exciting action, produce stands, street performers, flower merchants, and markets fill the street. The merchants compete for attention as the tourist and pedestrians walk through. Colorful, up-beat, and a sure to enjoy place of Paris.

Luxembourg gardens - A 60 acre park usually bustling with activity. Locals visit this park to stroll, read, meet up with their dates, or to relax. This beautiful park is completely open, with no inside boundaries. The different areas just seem to merge into one another. Take your time and just enjoy strolling. However, you will want to see the puppet theater, the bee-keeping school, the sail-boat pond and the carousel.

If you are visiting Paris, there's no doubt you'll want to see every inch of it. The gorgeous streets, the amazing street performers. Not to mention the amazing museums, monuments, churches and lively events. Although, unless you decide on a permanent move, it will be impossible. However, if it's just the 'creme de la creme' you want to see, this list covers it!
