The glass is entrancing and hours may be spent trying to figure out the details. The sheer size of the cathedral is one of the most amazing aspects and stepping inside is like transporting back in time.

Come visit Heidelburg castle when you are in Germany. This castle was the home of kings and princes for over 600 years. If you have the need to feel the presence of royalty a stop here would definitely be in order. The castle has been restored twice with the final one being completed in 1900. The castle has a history of being one of most desired places to visit in Germany with the huge wine cellar housing a vat that holds 55,000 gallons.

Bring your own light as parts of the castle are dark and forbidding as castles tend to be. The rock-lined rooms are especially interesting. You can get a feel for those who lived in the castle from an era gone by.
