Ecuador is divided into three different climatic zones – sierra, costa and selva (the mountains, the
coast and the jungle). The culture, climate and geographical features of these three regions are very different
and this means that even if you go on a short trip to Ecuador, it will feel like three separate vacations
in one! There are many places to visit in Ecuador and as it has a great road network and excellent domestic
airlines, it will make it quite simple to unite a relaxing time on the sunny beaches with a jungle holiday
as well as enjoying some Andean beauty. And the wonder of wonders is that all this can be done even on a very
short holiday! That’s true value for money, don’t you agree.
The coast will offer you some wonderful beaches and there will be something to please every member
of your family. You could opt for very relaxing, laid back beaches like Montañita or prefer the five
star resort hotels in Manta and Salinas. Ecuador's Amazon Basin's jungle is considered to be one of
the unspoilt natural beauties of the world and a lot of it is protected under international law. This
rain forest shelters a remarkable number of wildlife and each year more species are discovered.
Compared to the rest of South America, Ecuador is ahead in the tourism business by planning many programs
and having lodges run by and for the local indigenous population. You have to visit the Andes mountains if
you go to Ecuador since they are at the heart of the country and something which is an absolute must-see.

Las Penas was constructed in the 1500’s and it was the first residential area of Guayaquil. It was

Ecuador. Puerto Hondo Mangroves is located at 17 km on the highway to Salinas which a non-profit ecological

can go to the environmental center and also take a boat ride through the mangrove.
