Blocking Rock is one of North Carolina’s most memorable places to visit. The town was formed around a mountain that rises above the inhabitants. The actual Blowing Rock is a mountain area where the wind howls and things can actually be blown back up towards its visitors. You will be able to hear your voice reverberate around the mountain area, as well as have a spectacular view.

In the winter you will be able to ski, snowboard, and stay for Christmas. The Inn itself is just of the Blue Ridge Parkway on Main Street.

It is a large place with a white exterior for both vacations and business guests. They have a brook and pond that houses many ducks for the children to be delighted with. It is also one of the more relaxing stays you will find in Blowing Rock. They offer a comparative price around $100 a night, sometimes more during the high season.

Blowing Rock Victoria Inn

Sophistication and a mountain getaway go hand in hand with the Blowing Rock Victoria Inn. They offer a mountain retreat in an old Victorian style home. There are rock walls outside as part of the terrace garden area as well as period furniture and a few fireplaces. It is more of a cottage or bed and breakfast than an inn with only a few rooms.

The rooms have queen beds, private entrances, and a luxurious bath. You will also find that some of the rooms have fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. You can hike Grandfather Mountain or Linville Falls while you stay in Blowing Rock. They also offer deck chairs for you to just enjoy the view. They are open all year round.

The Village Inns

The Village Inns is our last places to stay in Blowing Rock and certainly one of the most beautiful. They offer plenty of land with a pond, gazebo, and several quaint rooms. It is a lodge style accommodation with a décor that celebrates the garden surrounding the area. It has hardwood floors, and a mountain décor for you to fee quite at home. They have four different locations included in the Village Inns.

You will find that each offers you a romantic vacation with plenty of views and activities. The properties have been recently renovated in 2006 offering you even more comfort and up to date atmosphere. Blowing Rock is a mountain town with plenty to offer its visitors even if you never leave your hotel room. The Village Inns will offer you places to site on the porch and rock in their chairs while enjoying the view.
