Nudist Beaches: Do’s, Don'ts and Where To Find Them

Can you believe one of the coolest places to visit for some people are nudist beaches? Over 6,500 people type that phrase in a month!.

Although it is not my cup of tea...it might be something you would like to check out. Here is an article on the do's and don'ts of visiting nudist beaches.

The idea of going to the beach is as American as apple pie. People go to beaches every single day for various reasons. The sand between your toes, the water lapping at your feet and just getting refreshed on a hot, steamy day are all incentives to head to a beach.

But what if you want to “let it all hang out” so to speak? Where can you go to find a nude beach? Why should I go to a nude beach and what can I expect?

Just hearing the mention of a nudist beach elicits titillation, excitement, outrage or embarrassment. Everybody has heard of them and some feel they are “sinful” or “perverted”, which is an unfair assessment. Nudist beaches allow people the opportunity to let go for a while and just have some fun.

So where can somebody find these nude beaches? Actually, they can be found almost anywhere in the world. The nine top spots worldwide are, in no particular order:

There are several others inside the USA that are either nude or clothing-optional. These nude beaches can be found from coast to coast across the country. As nude recreation becomes more popular, more places become available. Just do a search and you will be surprised at the results!

In a poll of Americans over the legal voting age, 74% said they felt that nude sunbathing should be allowed in areas set aside for that reason. A majority said that they would like to see areas of public land set aside solely for nude sunbathing. Clearly, people really want to be able to relax in this fashion. So along with that, there are some basic do’s and don’ts to consider when going to a nude beach.

Do’s
• Obey all parking regulations.
• Bring a towel. It is simple courtesy to put something between your bare assets and public surfaces.
• ALWAYS ask before taking pictures.
• Respect the property of others.
• Respect the privacy of others.
• Come prepared with your own supplies like sun block, drinks, food, etc… Mooching is just not attractive.
• If someone seems unaware of proper etiquette, POLITELY set him or her straight.

Don’ts
• Never use overt sexual innuendos.
• Stare at or intimidate others on the beach. They have every right to be here, just as you do.
• Go trampling through areas marked with “Stay out” signs.
• NEVER litter!
• Never play exceptionally loud music. Bring along headphones!

It is important to recognize what nude beaches are and what they are not.

Visiting nudist beaches are an adventure in self-discovery. Naturists say that going nude in public places promotes openness, honesty and acceptance of people from all walks of life. It is said that once you try out this form of recreation, your attitude will change forever.

Going to nudist beaches are not an exercise in sexuality. Sexuality is not a reason to go to a nude beach. It should be more of a personal freedom, if anything. In reality, a person who participates in nude recreation is already sexually free.
