Overview of Garner State Park from her old cliff
Tradition introduced us. My mother has been going to Garner State Park since she was a teenager and now, for the past 25 years of my life, Garner has been a big part of my life.
Garner State Park is the most popular overnight camping site in Texas. Its beautiful greenery captures the attention of its visitors, unchanged by the hands of time. The Frio River is the heart of this park, with its cool crystalline water rinsing away worries and tiredness replacing it with peace and tranquility.
Garner offers everything. There are fun activities for every age group. It has a putt putt golf area that is next to the park's pavilion where dances are held every single night! This is a good way to meet new people or have romantic moments with your significant other and dance the night away.
If you enjoy mountain climbing, well, you're in luck because Garner offers hill climbing. You can climb Garner's old cliff and intake the most wonderful view of Garner from the cliffs top, which I have done numerous times. There is also horseback riding, canoeing, and paddle boating that are offered there! You'll definitely have a blast!
But the BEST part of Garner starts once the sun goes down and the gazillion stars come out on display. It truly is the most amazing sight ever! All you need to do is just look up and enjoy!
Garner State Park is a place that needs to be experienced. It is the perfect place to go and unwind, even if it's just for one day! It will get the job done and produces the need to come back again.
You can go alone, with family or with your significant other, either way; you'll be having a blast the entire time.
This is no joke. 25 years have passed and the tradition still continues and will continue for future generations.
I don't regret ever going, trust me, you won't either.
Enjoy!
