Fun on the Jersey shore boardwalk

Each Labor day our family visits my sister at their shore house in Ocean City, NJ.

We have a great time: Sand castles on the beach, Riding the waves, water skiing on the boat, and of course the rides on the boardwalk. My girls love it.

I get to go bike riding too. We did the whole island this year--17 miles from tip to tip. It was a blast.
It was much better than last year when I got sideswiped by a bus and ran into a car (and got a ticket from the cop who saw the whole thing). That made for an expensive weekend, but we sure made up for it this year.

Now that the girls are older (5 1/2 and 4), it's a ton of fun. They love the beach and now they don't run away from the waves. My oldest has discovered boogie boards and is now a jr. surfer. My nephew taught her expertly.

As you can see from the picture Jordan has a look of excitement and terror at the same time. Only a kid can produce this dual emotion.

The Patalano's had a blast, wish you could have been there with us.
