As with most anything, word of mouth is the best advertiser. If people are satisfied or felt the service was extraordinary, they will let others know.

Another feature of the guide should be an alphabetical listing in the back that has all the B&Bs listed and where you can find them. The pages themselves could list other accommodations that are nearby with exactly how far they are away from the area you have chosen.

When you visit a particular place that you have never been before, isn’t it nice to know if they have anything in particular going on? There should be a listing of events that are held on a regular basis. Along with the listing the dates should be displayed and the times. Whether or not there is an admission fee would be a nice plus as well.

One thing people are always concerned with finding are restaurants, rest areas and fueling stops. These should be listed as well so they can be found without driving around for hours. The nearby amenities are important, but let’s not forget the main purpose of the bed and breakfast guide.

The names of the B&Bs, the number of rooms available, how many they can accommodate, internet and/or cable provided, pets allowed or not, close to shopping and numbers for making reservations are just a few of the questions that should be answered.
